We're excited to share quite a few updates and improvements in this release. We're introducing an all-new feature,
Floating Rows
. We also heard your requests to bring back
PDF presets
, now with better preset management so you can rename and delete them, and you can now set up column layouts right in the PDF export. We improved word export, anchor times, more accurate est end timing, and various bug fixes.
New
Floating Rows
Float a row to keep it in your rundown while taking it out of the running show. It's perfect for backup rows, holds, and optional content you want ready to go without throwing off your timing.
  • Right-click a row number and choose
    Float Row
. Select several rows first to float / un float them all at once.
  • Right-click a group header and choose
    Float Group
    to float the whole group.
  • Floated rows are dimmed with diagonal stripes, so they're easy to spot.
  • Floated rows add no time to your start times or header clocks, tracking skips right over them, and any scripts in floated rows are hidden from prompter view in real time.
  • Admins and Show Callers can float and unfloat rows.
Give it a try and let us know what you think.

PDF Presets Are Back
Save your PDF export settings as a preset that everyone on the rundown can use. A preset saves the orientation, paper size, repeat column headers setting, and which columns print in what order.
  • Pick a preset from the new
    Preset
menu at the top of the PDF export dialog.
    Personal view
    uses your own column layout.
  • Change a setting while a preset is selected, then click
    Save
to update it for everyone, or
    Save as new preset…
    to keep the original.
  • NEW: Rename or delete a preset from its
    ⋯
    menu.

Choose Which Columns Print
The PDF export dialog has a new
Columns
section where you can
hide and rearrange
the columns that print. It only changes that export, so your view of the rundown (and everyone else's) stays the same.

Improved
Row Highlights on Group Headers rows
Row groups now support row highlights. Select a group header and pick a fill color from the toolbar to color the whole header. The color carries through to PDF exports and guest passes too.
Anchor & Typed Time Markers
After your feedback, we changed how the Start Time and Preset Time columns mark their times, so it's easier to tell an anchor from an overridden time.
  • Anchors
show an up-and-down arrow with a dashed underline, since timing flows out of them in both directions.
  • Times you type
show an arrow with a line, since they start the count and feed the rows after them.
  • The dashed underline now only marks anchors.

Word Export Text Size & Empty Rows
Word export has two new settings.
Text Size
sets the size of the script text, from 10 to 36 pt.
Hide Empty Rows
lets you choose whether rows without script content are included.

More Accurate Over / Under End Time
The
End
time on the Over / Under clock now counts forward from the current time, so it reflects a late start, rows running long, and rows you cut or float before they come up.
Also improved:
  • List types now line up correctly with centered and right-aligned text, and numbered lists with 10 or more items no longer cut off their numbers.
  • When an edit fails to save, the error now shows in red and stays on screen until you dismiss it, so it's a lot harder to miss.
Fixed
  • Edits can no longer get lost or undone when teammates work in the same row at the same time. This includes typing that disappeared when someone else changed the same row, and quick back-to-back edits overwriting each other.
  • Clicking into a cell to edit it no longer can potentially cause the rundown to jump, and your cursor now lands where you clicked.
  • fixed bug where rows could intermittently disappear and leave a blank gap after a quick click on a row number.
  • PDF exports now stamp the footer with your event's time zone instead of local time.
  • Text highlights now exports to Word correctly.
  • Saved backups no longer show up in the rundown switcher.
  • Adding and removing guest pass columns works reliably, turning a column off keeps it in place in the list, and your changes stick after a refresh.
  • Long Global Elements set names no longer push the Migrate and Open buttons out of view in Rundown Settings.
